  • sugar - 9 lb
  • water - 3 gal
  • raisins - 3 lb
  • lemon juice - 1/2 c
  • dry yeast - 1 item
  • blossoms no stems - 1 qt

How to make dandelion wine:

Bring water to a boil, add sugar and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Put in blossoms, let stand until lukewarm. Add yeast, dissolved in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Let stand 7 days, stirring in the morning and night. After 7 days, strain through cheesecloth. Add raisins and lemon juice, let stand 2 weeks. Do not stir! Strain after 2 weeks and put in bottles. Do not cap too tightly. Let stand for 3 weeks before drinking.
