Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, lightly beaten - 3 item
How to make custard pie:
Preheat oven and bake crust at 400° for 5 to 10 minutes. Add sugar and salt to beaten eggs. Scald milk; cool slightly. Add milk slowly to egg and milk mixture. Add vanilla. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Pour filling into prebaked crust; bake at 350° until set.Recipe from Home Comfort Wood Cook Stove.
