Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1/2 c
- water - 8 c
- vinegar - 2 c
- curry powder - 1 tsp
- celery seed - 1 Tbsp
- about 24 medium cucumbers
- mustard seed or a little more - 1/8 c
How to make curry pickles:
Wash and slice cucumbers. Combine salt and water. Pour over cukes. Let stand 5 hours; drain and rinse thoroughly. Mix remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Pour over cukes. Bring back only to a boil in pan. Pack in hot jars. No need to process.Recipe categories: Weeknight, Vegetables, Canning.
