- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- sifted confectioners sugar
- butter or shortening - 1 c
- top milk or cream - 1/2 c
- Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk
How to make cupcakes:
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Fill greased cupcake pans half full. Bake in moderate oven. Cool. Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting or plain, if desired.Cream Cheese Frosting:1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1/2 c. top milk or cream2 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla Soften cream cheese with part of milk; add sugar and remaining milk.
