Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • milk - 1/3 c
  • flaked coconut - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • crushed corn flakes - 1/3 c
  • slices white bread - 4 item
  • few grains ground cinnamon - 1 item

How to make crunchy crust french toast:

Blend egg, milk, sugar and cinnamon. Mix coconut and corn flakes. Dip bread slices in egg mixture; then coat with coconut and corn flakes.

Heat margarine in a a skillet over medium heat. Brown prepared bread slices in skillet until light golden on both sides. If desired, serve with additional margarine and maple syrup. Makes 2 servings.
