  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 1/3 c
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • water
  • cocoa - 4 oz
  • baking powder
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 3 Tbsp
  • margarine - 4 Tbsp

How to make chocolate dumplings:

Combine margarine, cocoa, 2 cups sugar, water and 1/8 teaspoon salt in a 2-quart saucepan and boil gently on low heat 20 minutes. Make a cake batter of shortening, 1/3 cup sugar, vanilla, egg, flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, baking powder and milk. Beat well. S
