Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 6 oz
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 3/4 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • cocoa - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Rice Krispies
  • peanut butter - 1 c
  • pecans - 1/2 c
  • marshmallows - 2 c

How to make crunch bars:

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, chopped nuts, cocoa, baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir and put into greased glass pan (12 3/4 x 9 x 2-inch). Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows over top. Bake for 3 minutes more. Cool.

In a cook pot, combine chocolate chips or butterscotch morsels and peanut butter. Cook and stir over very low heat until melted. Stir in Rice Krispies. Spread on top. Cool, then cut into bars.
