Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- sugar - 1 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- sifted flour - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- Mix flour, salt and baking powder
- cinnamon - 2 Tbsp
How to make crumb cake:
Cream shortening with sugar and well beaten egg. Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Add alternately with milk (start and end with flour). Beat altogether until batter is creamy. Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.Crumbs:1 c. flour1 c. sugar2 Tbsp. cinnamon1/4 lb. butter or margarine Combine ingredients. Roll and blend with hands until crumbs form. Sprinkle on batter.
