Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • flour - 4 c
  • baking soda
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
  • sour milk

How to make crumb cake:

Mix together first three ingredients into crumbs; save about 1 cup of crumbs for top. Add other ingredients to crumb mixture. Sprinkle saved cup of crumbs on top of cakes. Bake about 35 minutes at 350°.
