Creamy rice pudding
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 qt
- rice uncooked - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla
- egg yolks, beaten - 4 item
- sugar - 1/2 c
- half and half - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
How to make creamy rice pudding:
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Cover and cook over very low heat for about 30 minutes or until rice is tender and milk is absorbed. Stir mixture occasionally. Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Gradually stir about 1/4 of hot rice mixture into egg mixture. Add remaining egg mixture to remaining rice. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Serve warm or cold with fruit or raisins.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Egg.
