Creamy onion soup
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 3/4 c
- sliced fresh mushrooms - 6 c
- chicken bouillon cubes - 6 item
- large yellow onions, chopped - 6 item
- thyme, crumbled
How to make creamy onion soup:
Cook onions in 6 tablespoons butter until transparent. Spoon onions into blender along with 3 cups water. Process until pureed. Cook mushrooms in remaining 6 tablespoons butter. Stir in pureed onion mixture, 3 cups water, bouillon cubes and thyme. Stir until blended. Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Bisques/cream soups, Onions.
