Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- plain flour - 3 c
- sticks oleo - 3 item
- vanilla, lemon, brandy or rum flavoring - 2 tsp
How to make cream cheese pound cake:
Let oleo sit until room temperature, then mix together well with cream cheese. Add sugar to cream cheese and oleo mixture and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour and a pinch of salt. Beat mixture for 3 minutes. Add flavoring and beat mixture for 2 more minutes. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and place on cool oven. Turn oven on and bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.As submitted to The Methodist Advocate by Robbie Ray who made and sold 311 of these cakes one December.
