Ingredients/Components
- sticks margarine - 3 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- all-purpose flour, sifted - 3 c
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
- confectioners sugar
- juice of 2 lemons
- water - 3 Tbsp
How to make cream cheese pound cake:
Glaze:1 c. confectioners sugar juice of 2 lemons3 Tbsp. water Cream margarine, cream cheese and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Beat well. Add vanilla and lemon flavoring. Pour into a floured tube pan. Bake at 300° for about 1 1/2 hours. Cool 5 minutes in pan.Glaze: Bring all ingredients to a boil and pour over warm cake.
