  • butter, softened - 1 c
  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
  • water - 1/3 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • sifted cake flour
  • lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
  • rum flavoring - 1 tsp
  • almond flavoring - 1/2 tsp
  • coconut flavoring - 1 tsp

How to make five flavor pound cake:

Glaze:1/2 c. sugar1/3 c. water1/2 tsp. almond flavoring Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk. Stir in flavorings. Pour batter into 10-inch tube pan (greased and floured). Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool in pan and finish cooling. Spoon hot glaze over cake.
