Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- water - 1/3 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted cake flour
- lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
- rum flavoring - 1 tsp
- almond flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- coconut flavoring - 1 tsp
How to make five flavor pound cake:
Glaze:1/2 c. sugar1/3 c. water1/2 tsp. almond flavoring Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk. Stir in flavorings. Pour batter into 10-inch tube pan (greased and floured). Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool in pan and finish cooling. Spoon hot glaze over cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
