Cranberry salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- pkg - 2 oz
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 2 c
- cold water - 1 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- cranberries - 1 lb
- large can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 item
How to make cranberry salad:
Grind cranberries in food chopper. Place sugar, salt and lemon juice over cranberries and let stand for 2 hours. Mix Jell-O with boiling water. Add cold water and stir until dissolved. When Jell-O is syrupy, add cranberry mixture, celery, nuts and pineapple. Place in refrigerator until firm. This salad may also be frozen.
