Ingredients/Components
- cream cheese - 2 (3
- cold water - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- unflavored gelatin - 2 pkg
- diced red pimiento - 2 Tbsp
- cans crab meat or mixed with shrimp - 3 item
How to make crab mold:
Heat soup and cream cheese, stirring to blend. Add next 5 ingredients. Dissolve gelatin in water. Add to soup mixture. Stir in crab meat. Heat until bubbly, stirring. Pour into a 2 quart mold, preferably a fish mold, which has been greased with mayonnaise. Chill overnight. Unmold and decorate.To decorate a fish mold, use sliced olive for eyes, sliced radishes for scales and strips of red pimiento for the tail. Serve on a tray decorated with fresh parsley and some vegetables from relish tray such as carrot curls, etc.
