Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- margarine or butter - 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- instant minced onion - 1 tsp
- crabmeat - 1 lb
- slices white bread, cubed and crust removed - 2 item
- paprika for sprinkling - 1 item
How to make crab imperial:
In medium pan, melt margarine or butter. Mix in flour. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly to keep mixture smooth and free from lumps. Cook until thickened. Mix in onion, Worcestershire sauce and bread cubes. Cool. Fold in mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper.In another pan, heat margarine or butter until lightly browned. Add crabmeat and toss. Combine with sauce mixture. Put mixture in greased 1-quart casserole. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 450° for 10 to 15 minutes.
