Crab bisque
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- flour - 1 c
- melted butter - 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chopped celery
- catsup - 1 tsp
- cloves garlic - 6 item
- parsley - 1/4 c
- tomato paste - 1/4 c
- onions, chopped - 2 c
- bell pepper - 1 c
- bay leaves - 2 item
- thyme
- chicken stock
- crab meat - 2 lb
How to make crab bisque:
Combine butter and flour in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until smooth, stirring constantly. Stir in tomato paste, onions, celery, garlic, green pepper and parsley. Cook until vegetables are tender, stirring constantly.Add chicken stock and mix well. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, bay leaves, thyme, salt, pepper and catsup gently. Fold in drained and flaked crab meat. Simmer for 45 minutes, stirring frequently. Discard bay leaves. Ladle into soup bowls.
