Cowboy stew
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 tsp
- water - 2 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- chili powder - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- green onions, chopped - 4 item
- medium potatoes, peeled and cubed - 6 item
- celery, chopped fine - 1/4 c
- bell pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- ground chuck - 1 lb
- can Ranch Style beans - 1 oz
- can whole kernel corn with liquid - 1 oz
- clove garlic, chopped fine - 1 item
- can tomatoes, chopped with liquid - 1 oz
How to make cowboy stew:
In heavy 5 or 6-quart Dutch oven or heavy cooker with lid, melt margarine, then add ground chuck and brown well. Add next 5 ingredients and saute in browned meat until soft.
