  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 2 c
  • stalks celery - 2 item
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • medium carrots, sliced - 2 item
  • can whole kernel corn - 1 oz
  • stew beef - 1 lb
  • medium potatoes, diced - 2 item
  • cans whole tomatoes, chopped - 2 oz
  • butter peas, frozen - 3 c
  • box cut okra, frozen - 1 item

How to make country vegetable soup:

Cook stew beef in Dutch oven with a quart of water for about 30 minutes. Then add all other ingredients and cook for another 30 minutes. (Add water as needed.) Serve hot with cornbread. Serves 6.
