- flour - 2 c
- cornmeal - 1/2 c
- whole wheat flour - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- buttermilk or sour milk - 1 item
- More milk for thinner cakes, less for fat cakes
- part water - 1 item
- maple flavoring - 1 item
How to make cornmeal pancakes:
Add buttermilk or sour milk for desired batter. More milk for thinner cakes, less for fat cakes.Syrup:2 parts brown sugar1 part water maple flavoring Bring to boil sugar and water; add flavoring. Use syrup while warm.P.S. Also good with tomato gravy.
