German potato pancakes
Ingredients/Components
- shredded potatoes - 2 c
- egg whites - 6 item
- all-purpose flour
- grated onion - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- black pepper - 1/8 tsp
How to make german potato pancakes:
Shred potatoes and squeeze excess water out of them. Transfer the potatoes to a large bowl. Stir in egg whites. Then stir in the flour, onions, salt and pepper.Lightly spray nonstick skillet or griddle with no-stick spray. Heat over medium heat. Meanwhile, shape the potato mixture into six 1/4-inch thick patties. Add patties to the hot skillet or griddle. Cook about 5 minutes on each side or until lightly brown and crisp. Serve warm.
