Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 c
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • sage - 1 tsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • melted butter or margarine - 1/3 c
  • dry bread crumbs - 4 c
  • crumbled cornbread - 4 c
  • hot broth chicken or turkey - 3 c

How to make cornbread dressing:

Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Blend in broth, butter and milk. Mixture should be very moist to allow for loss of moisture during baking. Spoon into greased baking pan and bake at 350° for about 1 hour.
