- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- water - 1/2 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
- Pet evaporated milk - 1/2 c
How to make cold oven pound cake:
Cream butter and Crisco together. To butter and Crisco, add sugar until creamed. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well. Alternately, add flour, milk and water. Beat well. Pour in floured and greased tube pan. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes longer.
