Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 5 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil
- plain flour - 3 c
- butter flavoring
- coconut flavoring - 1/4 tsp
- can Angel Flake coconut - 1 item
- yellow cake flavoring optional - 1 item
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream sugar and vegetable oil well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add alternately milk and flour. Begin and end with the flour. Add salt, butter flavorings and coconut flavorings with a spoon. Add coconut to batter along with a few drops of yellow food coloring. Bake in a tube pan. Start cake in a cold oven.
