Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- coconut - 2 c
- almond extract - 1/4 tsp
- egg whites - 3 item
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- candied cherries - 1 item
- food coloring, if desired - 1 item
How to make coconut macaroons:
Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt until very stiff. Beat in sugar, one tablespoon at a time and beat again until very stiff. Do not underbeat!
