Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- egg yolks - 3 item
- coconut
- 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
How to make coconut cream pie:
Mix sugar, flour and salt. Beat egg yolks; add milk. Stir into flour mixture, blending well. Cook over hot water until thickened, stirring constantly. Cover; cook 10 minutes. Cool slightly. Add vanilla and 1 cup of coconut. Pour into pie shell; cool. Cover with meringue and sprinkle the rest of coconut over meringue.
