Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • can evaporated milk - 1 item
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • stalks celery, chopped - 2 item
  • hot sauce optional - 1 item
  • medium potatoes, diced - 2 item
  • can baby clams - 1 item

How to make clam chowder:

Heat clams and juice on medium heat and add butter. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add vegetables and cook until potatoes are tender. Mix together milk, can milk and cornstarch and pour into clam mixture. Ready to serve when chowder has thickened.
