Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/5 c
- grated carrots - 1/5 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- diced celery - 1/5 c
- diced potatoes - 3 c
- diced onions
- slices bacon - 6 item
- chopped clams - 2 cans
- undiluted milk - 1 c
How to make clam chowder:
Fry the bacon and reserve drippings. Drain bacon on paper towel. Saut?© the onions in 1 tablespoon bacon drippings. Combine the bacon, onions, celery, carrots, flour, salt, potatoes, pepper and milk. Cook, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Bring to boil, then add clams. Cook 5 minutes more.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Clams.
