  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • water - 1/4 c
  • boiling water - 1/4 c
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • light corn syrup - 1/3 c
  • yeast - 1 pkg

How to make cinnamon rolls:

Caramel Topping:1/2 c. margarine1/2 c. sugar1 c. brown sugar1/3 c. light corn syrup2/3 c. milk Dissolve yeast in water. In large bowl, place boiling water, shortening, salt and sugar. Add beaten eggs and milk. Stir in 1 cup flour and yeast. Blend in remaining flour. Knead well; refrigerate overnight. Roll dough into rectangle 1/2-inch thick. Spread 1/2 cup margarine, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon over dough. Roll and slice.

Caramel Topping: Melt margarine; cook all ingredients to soft ball stage. Pour into pan and let cool. Place sliced rolls over Caramel Topping in 12 x 9-inch pan. Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Turn upside down onto platter. Nuts, raisins are optional.
