Cinnamon crinkles
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- evaporated milk - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
How to make cinnamon crinkles:
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. Cream together sugar, shortening and salt until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Beat in milk; add flour mixture and blend until dough is thoroughly mixed. Chill 1 hour, then make 1 inch balls.Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Roll balls in mixture. Place on ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake in oven at 350° for 12 to 13 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
