Cinnamon coffee bars
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/4 c
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- sifted flour
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- soft shortening - 1/4 c
- seedless raisins - 1/2 c
- coffee - 1/2 c
- vanilla or other flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- water or 1 1/2 Tbsp
- Sift together and stir in the flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon
How to make cinnamon coffee bars:
Cream the first 3 ingredients; stir in coffee. Sift together and stir in the flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Blend in raisins and nuts. Spread in greased 13 x 9-inch oblong pan. Bake at 350° for 18 minutes. Cut into bars.
