Christmas fruit cookies
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- soda
- buttermilk - 1 Tbsp
- pecans - 1 lb
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- whiskey - 1/2 c
- candied cherries - 1/2 lb
- candied pineapple - 1/2 lb
- nutmeg and cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- white seeded raisins - 1 lb
How to make christmas fruit cookies:
Pour whiskey over raisins, pineapple and cherries. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time. Mix spices with flour. Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture. Add fruit mixture and pecans. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes at 300°.
