- sugar - 6 c
- salt - 1/2 c
- water
- cider vinegar - 4 c
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
- turmeric
- hot peppers, chopped - 4 item
How to make chow-chow:
Chop all vegetables. Sprinkle salt over vegetables and let stand overnight. Rinse and drain. Combine remaining ingredients; add chopped vegetables. Boil for 5 minutes. Put into sterilized jars and seal.Recipe categories: American, Vegetables, North american.
