Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • water - 1 c
  • margarine or butter
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • unsifted flour - 2 c
  • firmly packed brown sugar
  • powdered sugar - 1 c
  • unsweetened cocoa - 1/2 c
  • can sweetened condensed milk - 14 oz

How to make chocolate sheet cake:

Preheat oven to 350°. Melt 1 cup margarine in small saucepan. Stir in 1/4 cup cocoa, then water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add cocoa mixture and beat well. Stir in 1/3 cup condensed milk, eggs and vanilla. Pour into a greased 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan. Bake 15 minutes or until springs back when lightly touched.

In small saucepan, melt remaining 1/4 cup margarine. Stir in remaining 1/4 cup cocoa and condensed milk. Stir in sugar and nuts. Spread on warm cake.
