stick margarine - 1 item
baking powder - 1 tsp
baking soda - 1 tsp
pinch of salt - 1 item
Crisco - 1 c
margarine - 1 c
sugar, divided - 1 c
baking cocoa - 1/2 c
quick-cooking oatmeal - 3 c
cream milk - 1/2 c
Add eggs, cream and vanilla; blend well

How to make chocolate sandwich cookies:

In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs, cream and vanilla; blend well. Combine dry ingredients, stir into creamed mixture. Drop by spoonful onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until done. Cool. Meanwhile, prepare filling.Filling:1 c. milk3 Tbsp. flour1 c. sugar, divided1 stick margarine1 c. Crisco1 tsp. vanilla pinch of salt Cook milk, flour and 1/2 cup sugar until thick; cover and cool. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread between two cookies. These can be frozen if desired. Enjoy!!
