- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/4 1/2
- flour - 3 c
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
- sweet milk
- Add eggs, one at a time, and blend after each one
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream butter and Crisco with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and blend after each one. Sift all dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Cook in greased and floured tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 25 minutes.Frosting:1/2 c. Crisco2 c. sugar1/4 c. cocoa2/3 c. milk1/4 tsp. salt2 tsp. vanilla Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
