- sugar - 3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- chocolate syrup - 5 Tbsp
- whole eggs - 6 item
- milk sweet - 1 c
- plain or cake flour - 3 c
- Crisco 1 3/4 c - 3/4 lb
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream sugar and Crisco together until fluffy. Blend in other ingredients slowly. Add one egg at a time. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.For Lemon Pound Cake: Use 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring instead of chocolate syrup.
