  • sugar - 3 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • chocolate syrup - 5 Tbsp
  • whole eggs - 6 item
  • milk sweet - 1 c
  • plain or cake flour - 3 c
  • Crisco 1 3/4 c - 3/4 lb

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Cream sugar and Crisco together until fluffy. Blend in other ingredients slowly. Add one egg at a time. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

For Lemon Pound Cake: Use 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring instead of chocolate syrup.
