- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1/8 1/2
- stick margarine - 1 item
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1 c
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Bring shortening, milk and eggs to room temperature. Sift flour, sugar and cocoa into large bowl. Add margarine, Crisco and milk. Beat until smooth and creamy. Add baking powder and salt. Beat. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth and creamy. Place in greased and wax paper lined tube pan. Bake at 325° for one hour and 30 minutes.
