Chocolate pecan shortbread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 7 Tbsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- light brown sugar - 1/3 c
- unsalted butter - 9 oz
- pecan pieces - 1 c
- semisweet or bittersweet chocolate - 6 oz
How to make chocolate pecan shortbread:
Heat oven to 300°. Combine flour and salt in food processor, do pecans until fine not powdery. Add to flour mixture. Beat butter and sugar. Reduce to slower speed, beat in flour mixture. Roll into tablespoon ball. Put onto ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten about 2 inches around. Bake 30 minutes. Melt chocolate in 250° oven.
