Chocolate pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- unbaked 9-inch pastry shell - 1 item
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- flaked coconut - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- light corn syrup - 1 c
How to make chocolate pecan pie:
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Let cool slightly. Add eggs, vanilla and salt, stirring well. Stir in 1/2 cup pecans and coconut. Pour filling into shell; top with remaining pecans. Bake at 375° for 55 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
