Chocolate filled bonbons
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- unsifted flour
- pecan halves - 36 item
- brown sugar, firmly packed - 1/4 c
- butter flavored Crisco - 1/2 c
- chocolate kisses unwrapped - 36 item
How to make chocolate filled bonbons:
Cream Crisco, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and egg in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer.Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. Press 2 level measuring teaspoons of dough around each kiss completely. Place pecan on top of each. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 6 to 7 minutes.
Cookies do not brown and do not overbake. Gently press pecans into hot cookies. Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute. Remove to cooling rack.
