Chocolate drop cookies

Ingredients/Components

• shortening - 1/2 c
• brown sugar - 1 c
• well beaten egg - 1 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• sq - 2 oz
• flour
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• soda - 1/2 tsp
• sweet milk - 1/2 c
• walnuts - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate drop cookies:

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, vanilla and chocolate. Blend well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add nuts. Drop from teaspoon 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 10 to 12 minutes. While warm, frost. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
