Chocolate crinkles
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- sq - 2 oz
How to make chocolate crinkles:
Cream the shortening, sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs, then chocolate. Sift dry ingredients together; blend in alternately with milk. Add nuts. Chill 3 hours. Form into 1-inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake at 350° for about 13 minutes. Cool slightly; remove from pan. Do not overbake; bake just until set.
