- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- pkg - 1 1/4
- milk - 1/3 c
- butter - 1/3 c
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- can cherry pie filling - 1 oz
- 6 oz - 1 c
How to make chocolate cherry cake:
In a bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs and extract. Add pie filling; mix well. Spread into a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 18 to 22 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine sugar, milk and butter. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved and butter is melted. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips until melted. Pour over warm cake; spread evenly. Cool completely before cutting. Store in refrigerator.
