Ingredients/Components

- cream cheese, softened - 1 (8
- light brown sugar, packed - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- brown sugar, packed - 1/4 c
- cream, whipped - 1 c
- graham cracker crumbs
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- melted butter - 1/3 c
- sq - 1 oz
How to make chocolate cheese pie:
Crust:1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs1/4 c. brown sugar, packed1/8 tsp. nutmeg1/3 c. melted butter1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted Crust: Combine crumbs, brown sugar and nutmeg. Add butter and chocolate; mix. Press into 9-inch pie plate. Chill.Filling: Melt chocolate over hot (not boiling) water. Cool about 10 minutes. Blend cream cheese, 1/2 cup brown sugar, salt and vanilla in bowl. Beat in egg yolks, one at a time. Beat in chilled chocolate. Beat egg whites until stiff, not dry. Beat in 1/4 cup brown sugar. Beat until stiff and glossy. Fold chocolate mixture into beaten whites. Fold in whipped cream.
Pour into chilled crust, reserving 1/4 of mixture for decorating. Chill until filling sets slightly. Drop reserved mixture in mounds over top of pie. Chill overnight.
