Ingredients/Components

  • water - 1 c
  • butter or oleo 1 stick - 1/2 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • pkg - 1 1/2
  • milk - 1 c
  • carton nondairy whipped topping, thawed - 8 oz
  • chocolate, melted to decorate tops - 1 item

How to make cream puffs:

Heat oven to 400°. Heat water and butter to rolling boil. Stir in flour. Stir vigorously over low heat about 1 minute or until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat. Beat in eggs until smooth.

Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Cool away from draft. Cut off tops. Pull out any filaments of soft dough.

Mix pudding with one cup of cold milk. Stir into nondairy whipped topping. Fill each puff with pudding/whipped topping mixture. Replace top. Drizzle chocolate over tops of puffs. Keep chilled.
