Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- pecans - 1 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- stick margarine oleo - 1 item
- Put the next 4 ingredients oleo, shortening, cocoa and water in a pan
How to make chocolate cake:
Sift flour and sugar together and put in a bowl. Put the next 4 ingredients (oleo, shortening, cocoa and water) in a pan. Bring to a boil. Put the flour and sugar in next. Add the other ingredients and mix well. Put in a greased pan and bake in 350° oven for 20 to 30 minutes.Chocolate Cake Icing:1 stick margarine (oleo)4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. pecans Start icing 5 minutes before cake is done. Melt margarine, cocoa and milk together. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add the rest of the ingredients; beat well. Spread over cake while still hot.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
