  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • box confectioners sugar - 1 item
  • hot water - 1/2 c
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • Pour into 2 layer pans

How to make chocolate cake:

Mix all ingredients. Pour into 2 layer pans. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.Icing:1 stick oleo2 Tbsp. cocoa1 box confectioners sugar1 egg1 Tbsp. lemon juice1 tsp. vanilla Whip all together until fluffy. Spread on cake layers and around sides.
