- eggs - 2 item
- half and half - 1 c
- flour - 1/3 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- sharp Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- Monterey Jack cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- cans whole green chilies - 3 oz
How to make chili rellenos casserole:
Beat half and half with eggs and flour until smooth. Split chilies; rinse out, seed and drain. Mix cheese; reserve 1/2 cup for topping. Alternate layers of remaining cheese, chilies and egg mixture in 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Pour tomato sauce over top. Sprinkle with reserved cheese.
